They made me a 3 leches cake with in two hour notice. I initially wanted any 3 leches cake but they ran out of the Mocha flavored one. They said they can make one in an hour if i wanted. I was at work tho, and picked it up after custom decorated too. I typically like mine not super soaked and they can use half the milks and they taste perfect. My family LOVE there cakes. Also a BIG flan slice is less than $3 and they are a BIG nice slice. 10/10 customer service husband and wife are very nice and generous.
If you’re craving authentic, fresh baked Mexican-style sweets, you’re in luck! Del Carmen bakery has an assortment of sweet bread and is well stocked. I went just 30 min prior to them closing and was able to fill my tray with a variety of bread. The staff is friendly and helpful and the displays are clean and just overall well kept. I brought home a variety of new bread and everyone loved them, so fresh and great tasting. We will be back! By the way, they are within a ‘La Michoacana’ ice cream shop. I didn’t even know they existed before, but I’m so glad I stumbled upon them!
During winter time, my family likes to come here to have a classic Pan con cafe. The Pan is super fresh and I think it's fairly priced. It is the Best place in McHenry to get Mexican Bread! They also have slices of chocoflan and slices of tres leches for those random cravings you might have. If you would like to order a cake or chocoflan for a bigger crowd they do it within 2-5 days in advance! I recommend trying Del Carmen Bakery.
